Day zero, as we like to call it

Day zero, as we like to call it, here at the Masters in Giżycko Poland gave a chance for some of the sailors to go out and practice, others just chilled around the host club Ekomarina.

Almost all present competitors managed to finalise the registration process today leaving as little action for the late registration tomorrow as possible.

It will be straight to racing from the registration tomorrow with the skippers’ meeting planned for 10:30 and first possible warning signal at 12:00. PRO at of the event Michał Jodłowski will have some very experienced sailors on the water just to mention the defending champion Patrik Polak from Slovakia and Portugal’s windsurfing legend and flag bearer during the 2016 Summer Olympics Parade of Nations João Rodrigues. But the rivalry is not the only thing we are looking forward to.

Apart from the on-water action the organiser has prepared some exciting excursions for the sailors including a ship cruise around the beautiful lakes of Mazury and Boyen Fortress sightseeing at night.
